Welcome to the New BYU China Teachers Online Application
Why A New Online Application?
The reasons are many; the benefits are clear:
- Your data goes into a database where it can be re-used by you for future applications. It is no longer trapped in an isolated PDF file.
- Since your contact information is in our database, we can now easily look you up and invite you to annual reunions after your experience.
- You no longer have to painstakingly copy and paste large volumes of personal data into a PDF file. You simply type it once into a single field.
- This method allows you to enter data a single time into a single page. You do not have to re-input the same exact information into a separate page of an application PDF.
Here are a few application tips:
- We collect a lot of data from you in order to make an effective and solid application to the Chinese universities. Thus, you will have the greatest success with this process if you use a computer with a keyboard, mouse, and good-sized screen.
- Your data doesn't automatically save itself. You must look for the "Save..." or "Update..." buttons at the bottom of each screen. Clicking on these buttons securely inserts your data into the database.
Before starting your BYU China Teacher application, you must have a BYU NetID (A BYU logon ID and password).
If you attended BYU-Provo in the mid-1990's or later, you likely already have a NetID. You can call 801-422-4000 and they may be able to help you identify what it is, and change the password to one you know.
If you need to create a BYU NetID, this helpful guide may help you (though the process is quite well-explained by the NetID creation screens as well).
